‘I DO NOT answer that question this side of Christmas. It is foolish to be talking about it now.’
It was the coach’s obvious response and exactly what was expected from Colin Fallaize.
However, his side had just made it seven wins from seven league games by beating the reigning champions to open up a nine-point gap at the top of Division One, so to ask ‘what can stop St Martin’s winning the title?’ seemed relevant.
Even ‘Big Fal’ himself had to admit, however, that his troops could have racked up a cricket score last night at Blanche Pierre Lane had they just taken half of the sackful of chances they created.
