Group calls for more ideas to save money for States
Thursday 16th December 2010, 2:29PM GMT.
A HYDRO-ELECTRIC plant at the reservoir, making the unemployed clear litter and reducing expenses for deputies were just some of the suggestions put forward to save the States money.
The Guernsey Reform Group has received 30 responses so far to its community savings initiative but would like islanders to submit more before today’s deadline.
The aim is to find ways to save taxpayers’ money and eliminate waste from States spending and show deputies that people are concerned.
GRG founder Tony Hemans (pictured) said some excellent responses had been received, but he was keen to have more.
