ISLANDERS will soon be able to relax and enjoy the views from Delancey Park thanks to a community project.

The Rotary Club of Guernsey and Rotary Guernesiaise have teamed up to create a garden above the bowling green, which used to be an overgrown area.

Planning permission has been granted, the area has been cleared and it is hoped planting can get under way in spring next year.

The idea originated from former Rotary Club of Guernsey president Jurat Jerry Girard.
