GUERNSEY Second XV kept up their flying start to the season by winning a thrilling all-Guernsey battle against St Jacques in the JRA rugby League.
The closely-fought 33-24 victory means that they have now won three out of four games in the Jersey League, including a 123-5 thrashing of Beeches.
After last season, which saw every game lost, captain James O’Reilly admits things are looking good, including last weekend’s clash.
‘Because this one is the only all-local game, both sides desperately want to win it,’ he said.
