Frise and Huxsters among big winners
Wednesday 22nd December 2010, 2:29PM GMT.
WITH fine weather forecast and more than £500 of prizes up for grabs, the GSAC were hoping for a good turn out for their annual Fur and Feather competition, but with only 53 entries – the lowest number for years – they must have been left disappointed.
In the light of the low entry figures the club’s committee, no doubt, will have to discuss the competition’s future.
Despite this, Peter Frise (pictured) continued his winning ways on the shore by winning the heaviest bag section with 29lb 6oz closely followed by Mark Hooper with 15lb 13oz.
In the best fish by the Guernsey Record section, Shane Huxster was first with a ballan wrasse of 4-15-9, which equalled 57.317%.
