Mercier makes her mark on the track over 1,500m

But she came to the forefront on the opening night of the domestic track and field season back in May.
On a sunny evening at Foote’s Lane, Mercier became Guernsey’s fastest ever female runner over 1,500m, clocking 4min. 37.7sec.
In doing so she slashed four seconds off her personal best for the distance and beat the previous island best by Martine Scholes by 1.8sec.
