IT HAS been a busy past couple of months for beauty therapist Sheryl Batiste.

From working as a home-based and mobile therapist she has recently opened her own salon, Beauty by Shezam, at the Atlantique Hotel and taken on four staff.

‘Someone from the management team at the Atlantique came for a treatment with me at home and was so impressed that they gave me the opportunity of opening and running my own business from the hotel,’ said Mrs Batiste.

‘I wasn’t too sure what I wanted to do at first because I was enjoying what I was doing already. But I came and saw the premises and was told that it would be tailored to my needs as a purpose-built salon and I agreed. It’s ended up benefiting both parties.’
