Shorto holds his nerve to set new standard of 134

Just this month, one usurped the other as the holder of the highest competitive break in the island as Adam Shorto (pictured) overtook Martyn Desperques on the all-time list.
Shorto’s new record of 134 came in his opening frame of an Image Group Premier Division match when his Gremlin Galacticos side came up against North Legionnaires.
His opponent was Rick De Garis, who potted the first red, but from then on it was all Shorto as he cleared the remaining 14 reds before polishing off the colours.
