Crumb of comfort as A Piece Of Cake closes

THE doors of cafe A Piece of Cake closed for the last time yesterday, but there was a glimmer of hope for its future.

The coffee shop and cafe in Mill Street was set up six-and-a-half years ago by Simon Chapman and Julie Eastwood.

But lease problems and high rents have forced them to close.

Mr Chapman said customers had been very supportive and there was hope the business might reopen.
