Allen’s goals for club and ‘country’ stand out
Monday 27th December 2010, 2:29PM GMT.
GOALS are the most valuable commodity in football and this year Rangers and Guernsey have benefited from having the most prolific modern-day scorer in their ranks in 2010.
On an island level, during the successful FA Carlsberg National League System Cup run, striker Ross Allen (pictured) was branded a hero for his goals – particularly the dramatic late winner against the Dorset Premier League in the semi-final at the Corbet Field.
He also scored in the memorable 5-2 final victory over the Liverpool County Premier League at the Track – arguably the biggest match the island has ever played at home.
Then, when it came to the small matter of the Kleinwort Benson Muratti final at Springfield later in May, Allen scored the only goal of the game with a calm penalty kick to give the travelling Guernsey fans plenty to cheer on the way home.

I am a first generation Canadian; all of my family is from Guernsey,, most of whom emigrated to Canada after the war.
Keenly interested in obtaining a Guernsey football jersey….
Would you pls advise if this is possible and at what cost…?
Much appreciated,

We don’t really like to call them Guernsey football ‘jerseys’
Try fletchersports.co.uk
By the way does a half inch of snow close all the schools and airports in Canada as it does in Guernsey?
