Shorto runs out of steam

THE Individual Snooker League will see another meeting between those all-time local greats of the baize, Adam Shorto and Martyn Desperques.
But for the first time in its four-year history, they won’t be playing each other in the final.
Needing a three frame win to ensure the two were kept apart in the semis, Shorto (pictured) surprisingly lost 3-2 to Seb Priaulx.
With his recording-making break still fresh in the mind, there was no indication of what was to follow when Shorto comfortably took the opening frame.
