Merriens heading back down under

THE Merriens, husband and wife Ian and Alison, will return to Australia in the spring as Guernsey’s representatives in the World Cup.
The event is again being held in Warilla, New South Wales, and Alison competes as a previous winner, having lifted the trophy in 2008.
She followed that by claiming bronze in 2009 and again this year.
Husband Ian finished 14th this year, having come 11th in 2009.
