AS ANYONE there to witness it will tell you, it was far from a 2010 sporting highlight.

But, from a personal perspective, the performance of Cobo’s opening batsman during their CI League match with the then defending champions Optimus will live long in the memory.

The hapless guy could hardly get bat on ball as Jersey star and former professional Ryan Driver opened up from the Bowls Stadium end at Grainville.

At the other end, long-time Guernsey nemesis Tony Carlyon took the new cherry, which did not make things much easier for the stocky right-hander, who has been called Rob Key by his teammates in jest due to a similarity of build to the England international rather than ability.
