Naftel delight at ‘productive year’

THE Guernsey Triathlon Club had plenty of reason to celebrate at their annual meeting and prize-giving meeting.

Club president Mark Naftel was delighted to report on the successes enjoyed by members both on and off the island in 2010.

‘We can now count among our members a world quadrathlon champion, age-group world championship racers at sprint and Olympic distance as well as duathlon and 70.3 worlds,’ he said.

‘Also, many first-time Ironman Distance racers, a few seasoned veterans of all distances and one member for whom one Ironman at a time isn’t enough.
