Matt up for key role in new club

HAVING just lost out on taking over his beloved Southampton, Matt Le Tissier will still get to run a football club and one dear to his heart.
The Saints legend wants to be president of Guernsey FC and play a full role in the soon-to-be formed new club’s attack on the UK league pyramid.
Le Tissier made the very serious offer to get involved over the festive period, which both he and brother Mark, the GFA chairman, confirmed yesterday.
‘I think it is a really exciting development and a long time coming,’ said the island’s most capped England footballer yesterday.
