A DOLPHIN made a guest appearance in St Peter Port Harbour on Saturday.

Photographer Tony Rive was shopping at St Martin’s when he got a call from his manager at Boatworks+ to tell him of the picture opportunity.

‘When I got there it was swimming around a motor cruiser and the people on board were taking photographs over the side,’ he said.

‘When the Commodore Clipper came in, it swam straight towards it as I’m told they follow vibration. Somebody told me later that it had followed a local fishing boat in.

‘At about 4.30pm it followed another boat out of the harbour but it must have been there for a good hour-and-a-half.’

We were watching the dolphin until after 5pm so he must have turned around and swam back in. Lovely to see him and first time my daughter can remember seeing a real live dolphin!
