Survey to look at women board members

Susie AndradeA CLOSER look at the number of female directors on the boards of local companies is to be carried out by the Guernsey branch of the Chartered Management Institute.

Branch chairwoman Susie Andrade (pictured), who hopes to be able to publish the survey’s findings towards the end of March, said the study would also look to establish the number of female executives employed by local organisations.

In the UK, Lord Davies is expected to report the findings of his review into the lack of women on British boards next month after receiving more than 2,600 responses.

He was tasked by the UK Government during the summer to develop a business strategy to increase the number of women on the board of listed companies.
