Promotional agency fills the deputy chief executive post
Wednesday 12th January 2011, 2:30PM GMT.
A KEY position at GuernseyFinance has been filled.
The promotional body for the island’s finance industry has appointed Guernsey-born Fiona Le Poidevin, 34, pictured, as its deputy chief executive and technical director. She will join at the end of March from KPMG, where she has been senior tax manager for the last four years.
GuernseyFinance chief executive Peter Niven, who at an industry update in October revealed that the search had begun for his eventual successor, said he was extremely pleased to be able to announce the appointment, which is seen as a forerunner to promotion to chief executive.
And while Mr Niven has said there was no set timescale as to when he might be looking to step down, because he has agreed to be as flexible as possible, he has now suggested it could be just a couple of years away.
