PHIL OGIER has exacted a spot of revenge for his defeat in last week’s final of the Capelles Open.

But last night’s five-set win over Garry Dodd was not quite enough to knock the Guernsey and CI champion off top spot in the CI Top 12 qualifier at the Hougue du Pommier.

But even without the unwell Alice Loveridge, the 10-player round-robin proved a cracker with Dodd, Ollie Langlois and Ogier all finishing level on 17 points, all three losing one of their nine clashes.

On countback of sets lost, Dodd topped the table with eight to his name, compared to the nine of Langlois and 10 of Ogier.
