JAMIE Whalley died before he was able to act on recent thoughts of moving back home to Guernsey, it emerged yesterday.

Mr Whalley, 32, was killed on Monday after being hit by an avalanche at the Val d’Isere resort in the French Alps.

His parents Dave, 62, and Sue, 57, flew to France yesterday afternoon. They had tried to get a flight in the morning, but had difficulties due to fog delays.

Friends and former colleagues paid tribute to the easyJet pilot, who lived in Hove.
