INSURANCE management and consulting services specialist Willis Management has become only the fourth business to achieve corporate chartered insurer status.
The status, which is awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute, is an exclusive title awarded to firms which meet a rigorous set of criteria relating to professionalism across a range of disciplines, such as governance, ethical policy, delivery of skills and knowledge training and commitment to ongoing professional development.
Dominic Wheatley, managing director of Willis Management in Guernsey, who is also an individual chartered insurer, said that securing the new status was a landmark moment for the business.
‘We are very proud of it. It’s a new form of endorsement and to be the first one in the Channel Islands to receive it is a real achievement for us and is good news for the Channel Islands as a whole.’
