Royal Hotel dispute halts £63m. in sales

MORE than £63m. worth of property sales on the former Royal Hotel site have been held up by a dispute, it has emerged.

The Longport Group is currently developing 46 local and eight open market apartments plus some commercial units on the property.

Capita Symonds Ltd, UK architects and building services engineers, was engaged for the development.

When Capita Symonds launched an action for what it claims was £1.6m. in unpaid fees, the Royal Court issued a registration to the plaintiff that stopped Longport from selling the apartments.
