THERE will be a rare international match played on home soil later this month with Northern Ireland’s finest juniors on show.

The Ulstermen’s under-18 national team will face a Guernsey under-19 team, to be coached by Martyn de Garis.

Due to take place on Monday 31 January at Foote’s Lane, the match will be the first representative match since the senior Sarnian side played in the Uefa Regions Cup in September.

The Guernsey squad for the ‘Travel Solutions International’ is likely to be announced in the coming days, with players such as Luke Winch likely to be given a chance to prove themselves again in representative football.
