‘I’m no bully,’ prison boss tells tribunal

CLAIMS of bullying and harassment levelled at the deputy prison governor are unjustified and unsubstantiated, a tribunal heard yesterday.

Rachael Green spoke to defend her actions, which were called into question during a constructive dismissal hearing brought by former senior prison officer Mike Appelqvist.

After an alleged assault on a prisoner on 25 November 2009, he was suspended and investigated by police but was later asked to return to work.

Mrs Green said she did not accept that her actions at any time could be construed as bullying or harassment.
