THE personal bests keep coming thick and fast for Steve Dawes.

Yesterday he eased to a comfortable victory in the GIAAC 10 mile club championship race, clipping 1min. 5sec. off his previous best for the course which has its start and finish point above Portelet Bay at Pleinmont.

The margin of victory was an impressive 5min. 42sec. over Sebastian Foy, who himself was never threatened for the runner-up spot.

Colin Jeffreys ran strongly over the second half of the race to claim third in 58-17, just ahead of Ronan Shally.
