A MAJOR operation to rescue a man who had gone over the cliff at Jerbourg took place last night.
More than a dozen ambulance staff and police helped to rescue the man, who escaped with just cuts and bruises.
The emergency services were called at 5.40pm. The cliff rescue team and inshore rescue boat crew were involved in the operation.
The man was helped to the brow of the cliff just before 8pm and was taken to hospital for a check-up.
