Lions hold two-point advantage at halfway stage

LIONS A led the way at the halfway stage of the table tennis league season by two points ahead of their title rivals Cenkos Panthers A.
The league leaders also have a game in hand due to the cancellation of the fixture against Whistlers C just before Christmas due to snow.
The pivotal encounter in the second round of matches was, unsurprisingly, between the top two sides.
The outcome earlier in the season had been a 5-5 draw and the margins were again very small in determining the result of the match.
