FORESTERS’ ARMS landlady Linda Hillion was shocked to hear of an alleged incident involving a knife in her pub, particularly as she does not think it happened.
Mrs Hillion has questioned the accuracy of a media release issued by Guernsey Police last week in which it sought witnesses to an alleged serious incident in or near the pub.
But police said yesterday that an incident had occurred on Friday 14 January and information it supplied to the media was correct.
Mrs Hillion, 62, who has run the St Peter Port pub for 31 years, said she was in it on the night of the ‘incident’ but did not see anything untoward.
