Panthers rack up 100-plus points

PANTHERS turned in one of the basketball performances of the season so far in Division One as they hit a ton past the unfortunate island under-21 men’s side.

The Panthers, coached by Pat Ogier, were ahead from the early stages and never lost that lead, being 25-17 in front by the end of the first quarter of play.

Consistency was the key from that point on, as the Panthers won the remaining three periods by scorelines of 26-12, 29-12 and 27-14 to see out a fabulous 107-55 victory.

The star was Jason Hooper with his 20 points, although in truth it was very much a team effort, with six players all hitting double figures and every player getting on the scoresheet.
