Coach quits Bels for second time
Monday 31st January 2011, 2:30PM GMT.
BELS have lost their second manager of the campaign.
Ian Champion (pictured), who led the club to the title last season before stepping down, reacted to the champions’ 1-0 home defeat by bottom-of-the-table Rovers on Saturday afternoon, by resigning the position he agreed to resume when Leighton Chainey quit back in mid November.
It is understood that Dave Rihoy, the club’s injured star player, will take charge of first-team affairs at the Track for the time being.

Not fair Blue I spoke to Champy earlier today and he just wants whats best for Bels and admits he does not have the answers to their problems. There is a big difference between ‘toys out the pram’ and ‘honesty’ no one can knock him for his efforts even if he couldnt sort them out at least he tried

blue. the guy had the best interest to try and help out when the the last person stepped down, so its a bit unfair to kick him when things didnt turn out as he hoped it would, it seems that a few clubs are suffering, when the better players leave to go to one club.

He was mad to go back the first time.
Nothing had changed, the players still don’t want to play for him.

he tried and it didnt work out. he always seemed like a fair chap to me as far as i know he worked hard in the job it seems he wasnt getting a reaction so what else could he do. judging by the level bels have dropped he obviously isnt the greatest coach and i think you are right ed the players didnt want to play for him. sad for him but true.
