ALL the emergency services were involved in a major operation to rescue a teenager who fell down a cliff near Petit Port yesterday.

The 13-year-old was not badly hurt but the operation to save him took more than four hours and involved more than 20 members of the Ambulance and Rescue Service, Fire and Rescue Service, police and Civil Protection Volunteers.

Ambulance and Rescue received a call from a passer-by who had seen the boy stuck on cliffs between Petit Port and Moulin Huet just after 4pm.

The cliff rescue team found he was in a safe position in a small gully about six metres above sea level.
