GUERNSEY’S demolition of KCS Old Boys was the ideal tonic before the biggest game of the season.

Player-coach Jordan Reynolds admitted that following on from the disappointment of losing the unbeaten home record to Effingham & Leatherhead, Saturday’s 77-24 victory away to King’s was beyond his own wildest expectations and it could not have come at a better time.

‘I’m as happy as Larry. Everything just seemed to work for us and it is nice to have that ahead of such a big weekend,’ Reynolds said, referring to this weekend’s trip to second-placed Guildford.

‘The Effingham game left such a bad taste in the mouth, it was a case of everybody had to take responsibility for that and they did.’
