A SIGNIFICANT bursary has been awarded to a local student who hopes to qualify as a solicitor.
Combining his studies at the GTA University Centre with his work at Ogier Fiduciary Services, Matt Longson, 21, was awarded the £2,000 bursary by the Guernsey International Legal Association to support him through the graduate diploma in law, which began in September.
Gila president Emma Roberts said Mr Longson’s application really stood out.
‘We received a number of good quality applications for the bursary and after careful consideration, we chose Matt. Having undertaken a number of placements in law firms, his commitment to the profession was clear.’
