THE NSPCC did offer support to local staff when the Guernsey branch was closed, an employment tribunal was told yesterday.
The panel heard that the charity understood it had been a difficult and unsettling time for its employees when the local branch was earmarked for closure following a restructure.
Four staff have taken the charity to a tribunal for unfair dismissal after they lost their jobs at the end of 2009 and start of 2010.
Representing the society, lawyer David Christie said that the employee support package offered by the society outlined a number of routes for employees made redundant.
