Five new faces in Guernsey squad
Thursday 10th February 2011, 2:30PM GMT.
THE young guard have been drafted in as Tony Vance’s latest Guernsey training squad maintains the youthfulness that has underpinned their recent successes.
Teenage North pair Matt Loaring and Scott Bougourd (pictured) are the most notable inclusions, as well as Vale Rec captain Ross Elliott, the trio all having enjoyed impressive local seasons.
Fellow chocolate-and-blue Angus Mackay and St Martin’s midfielder Kieran Mahon are the others without Guernsey experience to be called up in the 23-man squad.
Vance’s selection is solely for the trip to Alderney for next month’s Muratti Vase semi-final and will likely be trimmed to 16 for the game.
