TWO classes produced two contrasting stories in the second race of the Heritage Group Frostbite Yacht Race Series, hosted by the Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club.

While one yacht dominated proceedings among the racers, the placings in the cruisers came down to just a few seconds on handicap.

With force five to six gusting from the north east, the racing fleets were first sent to Amfre before crossing the Little Russel to take in the Jethou sights and returning to Castle Cornet.

The racing class was set two laps of the course and was sent off first, some boats opting to hoist spinnakers at the start to squeeze all available speed out of their boats to gain an advantage.
