A NINE-YEAR-OLD boy has won a new BMX bike after donating his pocket money towards the Get On Board skatepark campaign.
Amherst School pupil Liam Le Brun (pictured) got a call last week from Adventure Cycles, which had run a competition giving islanders the chance to win the bike.
Liam was one of 40 people who entered the competition, which raised £100 for the campaign.
‘I’m really happy,’ he said. ‘They phoned me when I wasn’t very well to say that I had won, so it was the highlight of my week.’
