HEATHER WATSON yesterday lost a nailbiter in the first round of the Dow Corning Tennis Classic, a $100,000 ITF event in Midland, Michigan.
The Guernsey star went a set up against the world No. 162, Stephanie Foretz Gacon of France, but having taken the opener 7-5 she proceeded to lose the next 6-3 and the third set 7-6, going down in the decisive tie-break by the narrowest of margins, 8-6.
