Walton bides his time to win five-stage race
Saturday 12th February 2011, 2:29PM GMT.
LUKE WALTON hit the front in the second race of the De Putron Winter Series.
With some of the bigger names of the Guernsey Triathlon Club having to sit out the event due to GIAAC inter-insular commitments, the race was an opportunity for other athletes to come to the fore, which is exactly what Walton (pictured) did.
A total of 27 competitors set off from the start line at Les Amarreurs to compete in the Super Sprint event.
Over five legs the course covered a total of 15 miles and alternated between running and cycling.
