Phone hackers targeted victim again within days
Monday 14th February 2011, 2:29PM GMT.
ONE of the companies which had its phone system hacked into was the target of a repeat attack days later, according to police.
They are warning other companies to take care to protect their systems following the attacks earlier this month.
Two local companies faced a combined bill of £28,000 after fraudsters took control of their phone systems through the voicemail and made overseas calls.
DS Andy Whitton (pictured), of Guernsey Police’s commercial fraud department, said investigations into the phone ‘phreaking’ attacks were ongoing.
