‘I CAN guarantee you that Guildford will not come away from Foote’s Lane with any points next month.’
That is defiant Guernsey player-coach Jordan Reynolds’ view, in the wake of the Sarnian’s 25-13 defeat to their big rivals at the weekend, a result which throws the title race wide open in London Two South-West.
Guernsey now trail Guildford by a point with six games to play, including the crunch return clash between the two on 12 March.
Despite believing his side will bounce back strongly, Reynolds accepts that the Guernsey team were not at the races at the weekend, particularly in the lineout. We had 15 lineouts in the game and we only won three,’ he said.
