ALICE LOVERIDGE has produced another strong Grand Prix showing.

At the Doncaster Grand Prix, which is part of the English Table Tennis Association circuit, the 16-year-old (pictured) finished runner-up in the women’s Band 1 singles, reaching the semi-finals of the women’s open where she lost out to the number one seed and won the under-21 singles title.

These grand prix events are intense weekends with most of the top players in the nation competing and a few useful overseas competitors for good measure.

It all makes for a very busy couple of days where there are a lot of games to play and each event has a qualification group of four.
