Vance rates Jersey boss

GUERNSEY coach Tony Vance has spoken of his respect for opposite number Craig Culkin ahead of the likely Muratti Vase final clash in May.
Culkin, who is entering his first Muratti in the dugout as Jersey coach, has named his provisional squad for the match against Guernsey, assuming the Sarnians beat Alderney, as well as for the NatWest Island Games.
The squad contains 26 for May’s showpiece match and while Vance (pictured) believes there are no shocks, the main difference is at the head of the pack.
‘The squad has no real surprises and it has not changed much compared to normal, but the big change is that they have Craig as coach,’ he said.
