CISX nears 4,000th listing

Tamara Menteshvili THE Channel Islands Stock Exchange is rapidly approaching the approval of its 4,000th security.

Last year saw just over 350 securities admitted to the official list. That took the total number approved by the Market Authority since 1998 to more than 3,800.

It has also been revealed that as at the end of 2010, Ogier had acted as listing agent for more securities than any other firm and had a market-leading share of 17.53% of all securities listed and remaining listed.

CISX chief executive Tamara Menteshvili (pictured) said taking into account market conditions, the exchange had seen a good level of activity.
