Paedophile who tried to blame wife is convicted
Saturday 19th February 2011, 2:29PM GMT.
AN ACCOUNTANT who tried to blame his paedophilia on his estranged wife was yesterday found guilty of storing indecent images of children on his computer.
Paul Towers, 51 (pictured), had denied the seven charges of ‘making’ the images he faced in the Royal Court.
The court retired for more than four hours before Jurat Stephen Le Poidevin announced that they had found the defendant guilty by a 6-3 majority on each of the charges.
Judge Russell Finch said that Towers faced ‘a substantial custodial sentence’ when the matter was dealt with. Towers will be sentenced on 28 March.
