Girls steal the show but Demore is the class act

GAGE DEMORE produced the class, but it was a novice Guernsey flyweight with a ponytail who produced the star performance at a packed Beau Sejour on Saturday night.
Cassie O’Regan, 5ft 2in. in her socks to be precise and roared on by work friends and family, stood toe-to-toe with Cumbria’s Jade Crossthwaite to win a thrilling unanimous verdictand upstage all the men by landing the bout of the night prize.
Beforehand she was having palpitations she was so nervous and after receiving her award was in tears at the thrill of winning after losing her first bout in Poland.
‘I’m really chuffed and I had no idea I was going to get that [the prize],’ she said.
