Government cooperation essential, says IoD boss

THE governments of Guernsey and Jersey must continue to work together, according to Institute of Directors chairman Mark Thompson.

During his address to IoD members at this year’s annual Guernsey branch dinner, Mr Thompson (pictured) said there were signs that this was beginning to happen.

He said closer cooperation with Jersey’s institute was one of his own targets during his two-year term and he hoped the same was the case at States level.

‘We’ve continued to lobby our respective governments in the islands to work together,’ said Mr Thompson.
