WITH her ever-improving world ranking, it looks like Heather Watson will almost certainly be in Olympic Games action next year.
The Sarnian’s second WTA quarter-final appearance of the year and in her career in Memphis last week sees her jump 14 places to a new lifetime high of 131.
It also means that she is closing in on becoming British number two, with her counterpart Anne Keothavong dropping significantly to 108.
Meanwhile, news regarding Olympic 2012 qualification will also please the Guernseywoman.
