Rec’s Alderney men face dilemma

THREE Vale Rec players face a major dilemma since their side qualified for the Somerset Cup quarter-finals.
That quandary is: do they play for their club or for their island?
Vale Rec’s reward for their 2-0 win over Bridgwater Town reserves at the weekend is yet another home tie against either Minehead or Watchet Town, scheduled for Saturday 19 March.
But that date clashes with Guernsey’s Kleinwort Benson Muratti Vase semi-final in Alderney, which could involve three Rec players.
