Farewell to Sir Fabian
Thursday 24th February 2011, 4:47PM GMT.
Guernsey’s Lieutenant Governor Sir Fabian Malbon left the island yesterday after five years in office.
He and Lady Malbon boarded the lifeboat in St Peter Port Harbour for the short transfer to HMS Daring moored offshore.
But before that there was a chance for islanders to wave them farewell at Government House.
Pictures in this gallery were taken by Peter Frankland and Steve Sarre.
Copies may be ordered online here.
